Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★☆ 4.4
Hollow Lantern is slow in the best way. You wander a quiet, half-ruined town, solving environmental puzzles and piecing together what happened through notes and scenery rather than cutscenes.
The lantern mechanic ties everything together — light reveals paths, scares off shadows, and burns fuel you have to manage. It never gets frustrating, just tense enough to keep you alert.
It's a short game, maybe four hours, but it lingers. I'd recommend headphones; the sound design does half the storytelling here.
